The sorter includes a rack for moving a plurality of trays upwardly and downwardly; side plates for moving the rack downwardly in order to guarantee the sufficient space between a heet discharge port and an uppermost bin tray; a rack driving means; and a paper stoper formed under the sheet discharge port, for preventing the sheets of copy paper from getting out of bin trays.
