A ventilated enclosure 1 suitable for use by pathologists and veterinary surgeons comprises a platform 2, a canopy 3 which can be raised from and lowered towards the platform in a vertical direction and a flexible seal for preserving a substantially tight seal between the canopy and platform during movement of the canopy relative to the platform. The enclosure is mounted on a wheeled frame support 15. Extraction means 6 are also provided for ventilating the interior 7 of the canopy by way of an opening at the front of the canopy, which opening provides access to the interior. The canopy has a viewing panel 8 so as to enable downward viewing of the interior of the enclosure. The enclosure is suitable for postmortens and may also contain other appropriate equipment, eg a camera, lighting, a sink etc.. <IMAGE> |
