<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the drag of a brake by returning a frictional pad to the parallel direction for the disc rotor surface, in the brake release. CONSTITUTION: One end of a pad returning spring 4 is engaged with a small hole 2a drilled at right angle on the back metal at a brake torque receiving end part 2b in the vicinity of the center of the pressing part for the frictional pads 2 and 3, and is extended in parallel to the back metal, having the small hole 2 as starting point, and enfolds the side surface 2c by the bent part 4b at the place leading to the side surface 2c on the outer periphery of a disc rotor D on the back metal, and the contact point in the vicinity of the inspection hole 1a of a caliper 1 is formed as reaction force supporting point by the turned- back part 4c in the vicinity of the center of the disc rotor. Accordingly, as for the disc brake, the frictional pads 2 and 3 are pushed back in the parallel attitude to the side surface of the disc rotor by a linear spring shaped pad return spring 4 which is springily urged in the separation direction from the center of the disc rotor D in brake release, and the drag in the brake release is prevented.</p> |
