PURPOSE: To give an alarm only at the time of the occurrence of an earthquake stronger than a fixed value by incorporating an earthquake alarm mechanism into an alarm clock. CONSTITUTION: When an earthquake stronger than a fixed value occurs during sleeping, a changeover switch 4 is changed over to the contact (a) side, an arbitrary time is set previously by the time setting knob of an alarm mechanism A and an operating switch 11 is turned on for emitting a warning sound. Consequently, the mechanism A is brought to the state of operation while a current is also made to flow through a timer 5, an alarm clock is installed at a specified place after ten and several or several dozen sec passes, a relay 51 is short- circuited when vibrations are not applied to the alarm clock, and an earthquake alarm mechanism B is brought to the state of operation. When a fixed time passes, the alarm clock reaches a set time and the relay 21 of the mechanism A is short-circuited or the switch 11 is turned off before the alarm clock reaches the time, the relay 51 is turned off, and the mechanism B is returned to an original state. |
