PURPOSE: To shorten the starting time for heating and to prevent the abnormal temperature rise of refrigerant by resticting first the heating value of refrigerant heating means until an assumed temperature in a tube which is closed at its upper end and stood at a high pressure side tube at the time of heating arrives at a predetermined temperature, an then starting the actual operation. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner has a cooling refrigerant circuit for circulating refrigerant such as fluorocarbon, etc., discharged by compressing by a compressor 1 to the compressor via an outdoor heat exchanger 3, a capillary tube 4, a check valve 5, an indoor heat exchanger 6 and a check valve 7 upon switching of a four-way switching valve 2. The conditioner also has a heating refrigerant circuit for similarly circulating the refrigerant to the compressor 1 via the exchanger 6, a first switching valve 8, and refrigerant heat exchanger 10 of heating means 9. A tube 16 blocked at the upper end is stood at the high pressure side tube at the time of heating, and the inner temperature is measured by a temperature sensor 17. The heating value of the means 9 is limited by a controller 19 until the measured temperature arrives at a predetermined temperature, and the conditioner is started. |
