PURPOSE: To enhance the easiness to use an at-home care center and the easiness to use a patient terminal by connecting a sensor terminal and the patient terminal through a communication circuit performing the communication of data containing image data and providing an emergency transmission means transmitting an emergency code to the patient terminal. CONSTITUTION: In constitution such that two at-home care center terminals A, B and two patient terminals A, B are connected by an ISDN circuit, for example, when the emergency push button of an operation pad 24 is pushed at the patient terminal A, the most preferential emergency code is selected to be immediately transmitted to the at-home care center terminal A. When the presence of the emergency code in the transmission data of an A-channel is confirmed in a CPU 17, it is investigated whether a B-channel is used on the side of the at-home care center terminal and, if the B-channel is empty, the B-channel is connected. At the time of present 'lines' busy', the phone number, emergency degree and doctor's questions of a parient are received to be displayed on a monitor 13. |
