PURPOSE: To shorten the first printing time without making a process speed fast by setting the carrying speed of a carrying member carrying a recording material ejected from a fixing means at a specific speed. CONSTITUTION: A transfer material P ejected from a fixing device 6 is held/ carried to paper ejecting rollers 10 and 11, to be ejected outside a machine. The ejecting roller 10 is driven to rotate at a speed 120-200% higher than the process speed for forming an unfixed image on a photoreceptor drum 1 and the transfer material P or a fixed image on the material P (for instance, the carrying speed of the fixing device 6 carrying the material P). While the material P is simultaneously carried by a fixing roller and the ejecting roller 10, it slips against the material P, so that it is carried at the carrying speed of the fixing device 6. While the material P is carried only by the ejecting roller 10, after the material P passes through a fixing nip part, the material P is carried at the speed of the ejecting roller 10. |
