METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING TIRE NONSKID DEVICE MADE OF NONMETAL

PURPOSE: To improve the press bonding state of both upper and lower molding materials crossing each other when the respective crossing parts formed by knitting the molding materials of a nonskid main body into a reticulated shape are pressed. CONSTITUTION: Molding materials 1 each formed by coating string like reinforcing cores 2 with unvulcanized rubber 3 are tensioned in such a state that the crossing parts 5 are embedded in the reticulated grooves 21 of a preparatory mold 20 to knit a reticulated knitted member 4 which is, in turn, pressed by an upper press mold 40 through a fall lid 30 having the same shape as the grooves 21 of the preparatory mold 20 and having rubbery flexibility capable of being fitted in the grooves 21. Since surface pressure is widely distributed in both upper and lower molding materials 1a, 1b of the respective crossing parts 5 of the reticulated knitted member 4 by the flexibility of the fall lid 30, the preparatory molded object of a nonskid main body holding a good press bonding state free from local deformation is obtained.
