PURPOSE: To affix a radiopaque marker stablely and accurately to the stent without impeding the expansion of the stent by plating at least a part of the periphery of a cylindrical stent and attaching a radiopaque band. CONSTITUTION: At least a part of the periphery of a cylindrical stent 12 of a radiopaque marker 10 is plated and a radiopaque band is attached. The radiopaque marker 10 is provided to be attached to a part of the stent in the blood vessel to enable the stent 12 inlayed in the blood vessel or vein to be seen with a fluoroscope and therefore easily to be found. In a preferred method, the stent 12 is arranged on a core, a mask is attached to a part of the stent 12, at least a part of the stent is coated with radiopaque material, then the mask is taken off from the stent 12 and the stent 12 is taken off from the core, and the radiopaque marker attached to the stent. |
