FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: horizontal-shaft electrical machine has sheet-steel stator 1 installed in horizontally divided frame 2,3 and compressed in relatively separated supporting rings 32 orthogonal relative to longitudinal axis of machine by means of fastening wedges distributed over stator perimeter. Supporting rings are joined on their outer perimeter with aid of fastenings 39,40 to bottom part 2 of machine frame. Supporting rings 32 have azimuthal fastening plates passed symmetrically relative to vertical axis of symmetry of machine. For separating sheet-steel stator frame 1 from its bottom part 2, fastening plates 40 are elastically secured on mentioned supporting rings in radial horizontal direction; fastening plate is made in the form of flat spring or functions as such.
