FIELD: medicine, biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the long-term modification and regulation of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, obesity decrease, decrease of resistance to insulin, hyperinsulinemia and hyperglycaemia or both (typical traits of insulin-nondepending diabetes, diabetes of type II). Method involves the administration of bromocriptine (dopamine against) to human or animals by oral, sublingual or parenteral routes. Bromocriptine is administrated at the definite limited time of day depending on the normal circadian rhythm in insulin-resistant and insulin-sensitive representatives of related species. Resistance to insulin, hyperinsulinemia and hyperglycaemia or both can be controlled in human on the long-term basis of proposed treatment since short-term diurnal preparation administration corrects the hormonal "schedule" in brain nervous centers that makes the long-term effect. EFFECT: improved method of treatment. |
