PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid crystal display device which is bright in color tones by using color filters patterned with plural multilayered YMC interference films on the substrate of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: The color filters 10 patterned with the plural multilayered YMC interference films (yellow, magenta, cyan) on the substrate 3 are used for the liquid crystal display device. These interference type color filters 10 are formable by alternately laminating high-refractive index materials and low-refractive index materials having prescribed film thicknesses by a vapor deposition method. Further, a lenticular lens 13 is laminated on the color filters 10, by which the more practicable liquid crystal display device having lower dependency on visual field angles is obtd. The lenticular lens 13 selectively and visually provides the components perpendicular to the color filters 10 of the light from a light source or reflection plate 1, thereby improving the dependency on visual sensation (dependency on visual field angles) which are the problem intrinsic to the interference filters. The liquid crystal display device which is hardly changed in color tones by viewing angles is thus obtd. |
