An external preparation for skin protection containing a ulinastatin efficacious in treating dry skin, keratosis, skin aging, common acne and atopic dermatitis. The preparation is highly safe and can be used for preventing or ameliorating chapping including skin drying, cornification, aging and scurf, for improving moisture retention of the skin, and for preventing and treating common acne and its sequelae, atopic dermatitis, and pruritus accompanying the same.
