<p>PURPOSE: To provide a highly reliable thick chip resistor for which laser trimming is not required for correcting its resistor and which has excellent characteristics by using a manufacturing method in which the resistor is formed by sticking cut pieces of resistor green sheet to the surface of a substrate carrying splitting slits and baking the green sheet. CONSTITUTION: A resistor 6 is formed in such a way that, after upper electrodes 3 for connecting resistor are formed on a substrate 1 carrying splitting slits 2, cut pieces 5 of resistor green sheet obtained by cutting a resistor green sheet main body 4 composed of a resisting material, glass frit, and organic binder into pieces of the same width are stuck to the surface of the substrate 1 so that the pieces 5 can be connected to the electrodes 3 and the pieces 5 are baked. When the resistor 6 is divided into pieces after protective glass is printed on the resistor 6 and baked, a highly reliable thick chip resistor which is not deteriorated in voltage resistance and surge resistance and has a large rated voltage/power and excellent current noise characteristic is obtained.</p> |
