<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the influence of the anisotropy of dielectric constant for improving the quality of display by arranging a picture element electrode with an interior angle at an apex in the direction of line formed about as an apex angle and a shift made by a half picture element electrode every line. CONSTITUTION: In a picture element electrode 8, a thin film transistor TFT 9 is provided as a driving element for driving the picture element electrode 8 at an edge part in the direction of line. In the TFT 9, a gate electrode 9a is connected to a scanning electrode line 10, and out the other hand, a drain electrode 9b is connected to a signal electrode line 11, and a source electrode 9c is connected to the picture element electrode 8. In this case, the picture element electrode is arranged so that an interior angle at an apex in the direction of line may be about as an apex angle. The picture element electrode 8 is formed so that the interior angle at an opposite apex in the direction of line may be a right angle. In addition to that, since the picture element electrode 8 is hexagonally formed, it is formed in DELTA arrangement where it may be arranged with a shift made by a half picture element electrode every line. In this case, since the picture element electrodes 8 can be closely arranged, the length of the signal electrode line 11 can be shortened.</p> |
