The fuel sucked up by the fuel pumps (30, 110) flow into the fuel filters (40, 400, 120, 300), are filtrated by elements (49, 490, 124, 332) and flow to lower chambers of filter housings (41, 410, 460, 122). The fuel to be consumed by fuel consumption devices such as an internal combustion engine is supplied through a fuel passage extending upward from the lower chambers of the filter housings (41, 410, 460, 122). On the other hand, water mixed in the fuel collects in the lower chambers. Particularly because glass fibers, etc., having high hydrophilicity are mixed in the filter elements (49, 490, 124, 332), water is collected and is turned to droplets, which fall into the lower chamber.
