PURPOSE: To eliminate uniformly the static electricity with which a cartridge is charged, while it is in a state of low level. CONSTITUTION: Elliptic holes 14a being long in the vertical direction are provided on the opposite sides of an entrance guide frame of a cartridge holder 14 guiding and supporting a cartridge inserted thereinto. A movable static electricity-eliminating brush 16 having shafts 16a in the opposite ends and having a large number of flexible conductive members 16b fitted in the central part can make rotation and straight movement in the vertical direction by the shafts 16a engaging with the elliptic holes 14a. When the cartridge is inserted into the cartridge holder 14 from the left side, the movable static electricity- eliminating brush 16 is pushed by the end face of the cartridge and rotated leftward, runs onto the upper surface of the cartridge and slides in contact with the surface under the load of its own weight alone. At the time of ejection of the cartridge, the movable static electricity-eliminating brush 16 rotates clockwise. |
