PURPOSE: To obtain the operational amplifier with fast recovery response from a clamp state. CONSTITUTION: The operational amplifier having a clamp circuit whose output voltage is limited to a prescribed voltage based on an operating state due to a change in an input voltage is provided with a differential amplifier circuit 50 receiving the input voltage, an active load circuit 51 receiving two outputs from the differential amplifier circuit 50, an output stage circuit 52 providing one output of the differential amplifier circuit 50 to be an output voltage, and the clamp circuit 53a placed between the differential amplifier circuit 50 and the active load circuit 51 to limit an output voltage based on the operating state of the differential amplifier circuit 50 to be a prescribed voltage and to make a current outputted to the active load circuit 51 constant independently of the operating state of the differential amplifier circuit 50. |
