PURPOSE: To relieve the burden of a cargo handling worker and to save energy by a method wherein only a frozen and refrigerated storage good is cooled at a cargo handling room or a platform. CONSTITUTION: A local air cooler 2 to blow downward cooling air through an outlet 16, formed in the lower central part of a casing 11, is runnably suspended from a rail 6 at the lower part of an indoor ceiling, and a hoist 22 is provided on the whole outside of the lower part of a local air cooler. The upper part of an outer curtain 18 having length from the lower part of a casing to a floor surface is mounted on the hoist, and a hoist 23 is also arranged at the whole outside of the blow-off port 16. The upper part of an inner curtain 19 having length being shorter than a distance from the under surface of the casing to the floor surface is mounted on the hoist. A suction port 15 is formed between inner and outer curtains on the under surface of the casing. When the inner and outer curtains are lowered, a communication part 20 for U-turn of air is formed between the lower end of the inner curtain and a floor surface 1b. |
