PURPOSE: To provide a channel selection system for two-way CATV with which a desired program can be received with an easy operation by directly operating a channel menu from a center on the receiving screen of a receiving terminal by a subscriber. CONSTITUTION: Channel menu data are prepared by a main control part 13 and a program data base 18 inside the center and transmitted through a communication control part 17 to the receiving terminal. At the receiving terminal, the data are received/analyzed through a communication control part 37 by a CPU 31 and a ROM 32 and stored in a RAM 33 as analysis data, and the channel menu and a cursor are displayed on a screen 38a of a receiver by an on-screen control part 35. Corresponding to a signal from an input control part 34, the cursor is controlled on the channel menu on the screen and corresponding to the decision of that selection, a tuner control part 36 is controlled. Thus, the channel of the desired program can be directly tuned from the channel menu. |
