METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STRAIGHT LINE DETECTION

PURPOSE: To easily and precisely detect a straight line by utilizing specific linearity to check a straight line in image data. CONSTITUTION: A local area has a 5×5 matrix pixel array in this case, and pixels (a)-(h) are black pixels. The linearity based upon the inclination of the straight line of the pixels is found and regarded as the index of likelihood of the inclination of the straight line to vote weight in a parameter space. Namely, it can be said that the linearity is an index showing how much other plural black pixels are distributed along the straight line passing an aimed pixel (e). When the aimed pixel (e) is voted in the parameter space, the index called the linearity is voted. The index called the linearity is voted as weight for the sine curve mapped in the parameter space by finding linearity for each black pixel in the image data.
