Waste gas purification of waste gases charged with organic materials comprises thermally treating at 850-900 deg C for 8 secs., feeding into a steam generator, decomposing the organic components and Hg, Ct and S-cpds. at 140-180 deg C for 4 secs., and depositing the solid reaction products on a filter. An appts. for carrying out the process is also claimed.
