The light housing has at least one downwardly facing slot in the usage position above the light unit(s) acting as light outlet aperture. A first housing part (3) is arranged in the usage position above the light unit(s) and has reflector components, by means of which the light beams emanating from the light unit(s) (1) are particularly divergently and preferably diffusely reflected.Second housing parts (5) in the usage position are arranged and retained on both sides near the light unit(s) with a distance from the first housing part, so that on both sides of the light housing a boarder longitudinal slot (6) as light outlet aperture is formed. The second housing parts have facing wall parts with reflector units which screen on both long sides the light unit(s).
