PURPOSE: To sufficiently compress and package fine-cut paper pieces by providing a tube formed with an inlet for the pieces, a compressing member lowering in the tube to compress the pieces in the tube, an upper part folding member for folding an upper part of a bag and an upper part fusing member for fusing overlapping parts of a wrapping material. CONSTITUTION: A packaging material S is pulled out by a package pull-out body 10, and a tube 3 lowers from above the material S to pull down the material S to a base 1. The material S is in contact with two sides 3A, 3B of the tube 3 between guides 8, 9 and formed into a U-shape to close a bottom opening with the base 1. When fine-cut paper pieces P are injected from an inlet 3 of the tube 3 via a conveyer 7 and stacked, they are compressed by a compressing member 5, and injection and compression are repeated again. The material S is cut and held by a cutter/holder 11. A pulled-out part of the material S is folded by a side folding member 12 toward sides 3C, 3D of the tube 3 and fused by a side fusing member 17, and the opening is folded by an upper part folding member 20 and fused by an upper part fusing member 25. |
