PURPOSE: To true up sheet material on a loading table surely to a reference side width control plate irrespective of the number of sheets to be loaded by providing truing-up plates energized by an elastic member on at least one width control plate of a pair of right and left width control plates for the sheet material. CONSTITUTION: A truing-up plate 21 brought into contact with the side edge of a sheet material P under the energisation by an elastic member 22 is installed on at least one width control plate 19 of a pair of right and left width control plates for controlling the position of the sheet material P in the lateral direction while it is brought into contact with both right and left side edges of the sheet material P in the lateral direction to be loaded on a loading table 4. Also an escape part 21b is provided on the upper part of the truing-up plate 21 so that the uppermost several sheets of sheets P are not made in contact with it not to provide any resistant to the sheets P to be fed. Then a hood part 21a to suppress curl of sheets P left as they are in a low humidity environment is provided. Thus sheet material can be trued up on the width control plate side ranging from full loading to small loading and, because any unnecessary side pressure is not applied to the uppermost sheets, faulty conveyance can be eliminated.
