PURPOSE: To conduct shift-up in an appropriate timing by releasing shift-up prohibition when the adjusting amount of an actuator drops by a prescribed amount from the adjusting amount of the actuator at the time of a shift-down. CONSTITUTION: A constant speed traveling control means controls an actuator so as to meet vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed detection means and target traveling speed to adjust the driving force of an engine. A shift-down adjusting amount storage means stores the adjusting amount of the actuator when shift-down is detected by a shift-down detecting means. A shift-up prohibition means prohibits shift-up after shift-down is detected. A shift-up permission means releases shift-up prohibition by the shift-up prohibition means when the adjusting amount of the actuator drops by a prescribed amount from the adjusting amount of the actuator stored by the shift-down adjusting amount storage means. It is thus possible to conduct shift-up in an appropriate timing.
