PURPOSE: To provide an IC card which is simply produced without causing any crazing and cracking in an IC chip at the time of producing the IC card and which has no recesses and protrusions on its surface and has a strong flexural strength. CONSTITUTION: An IC chip mounting substrate is directly covered with a card base material 29 from the side of an IC chip without using a molded resin for protecting the IC chip, and the IC chip mounting substrate and the card base material 29 are made to have an integral structure. The whole face of or a partial face of the substrate 13 on the side of terminals 11 for external connection is exposed on the rear face of the card base material 29. The surface of the card has no recesses and protrusions substantially. |
