PURPOSE: To impart an excellent fastness to a formed image and to form a high-density and-resolution image. CONSTITUTION: In a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet formed by laminating a white-imparting layer and an accepting layer in this order on at least one surface of a substrate sheet, the white-imparting layer contains at least one water-soluble resin and a water-soluble fluorescent whitener, and the accepting layer is a layer mainly composed of a resin soluble in an organic solvent.
