A mass of concrete of a suitable type is cast around a series of cylinders of non-degradable polymer material, located vertically in a series of rows. The ends of the cylinders include narrow connecting tubes (7) allowing drainage of water through the cylinders.The concrete mass may include reinforcing components such as wire or mesh of metal, plastics or geotextile material. The arrangement of the cylinders may be regular or irregular. The connecting tubes, which are made of polymer material, may be sealed to the cylinders or not. The entire mass may be surrounded by an external drainage layer (3). |
