摘要 FIELD: welding; welding materials applicable in welding in various spatial positions of low-carbon and low-alloy steels. SUBSTANCE: the electrode coating contains, mas. %: ilmenite ore containing 8-15% of titanium oxide 26-36; marble 11-15; ferro-manganese 15-20; ferro-titanium 5-10; quartz sand 20-30; kaolin 6-10; wood flour 1.5-2.0; soda ash 0.5-1.5. In this case, wood flour, kaolin and marble should be taken in the ratio of 1:(4.0-5.0):(7.0-7.5). The offered electrode coating makes it possible together with considerable cutting down of its cost to obtain good welding and technological characteristics in welding low-carbon and low-alloy steels in any spatial positions. This is achieved due to application in the composition of electrode coating of low price ilmenite ore of the Aldan region with content of titanium oxide amounting up to 8-15% and combination of optimal ratio of wood fluor: kaolin: marble= 1: (4.0-5.0): (7.0-7.5) with content of the other components of the coating within the range offered by the present invention. Application of the given coating for electrodes makes it possible to obtain the mechanical properties of the weld seam corresponding to the E46 type, that is, applicable in welding of vital structures of low-carbon steels.
