Crushing of cereal grains for animal feed, e.g. maize, rye and barley

Cereal grains are crushed between 2 rotating rollers (3 and 4) mounted in a frame on parallel horizontal axes (3A and 4A). The 2 axes pass through a plane (P) inclined with respect to the horizontal so that the grain can fall onto the free upper surface (3B) of the lower roller (3) and be carried towards the point of convergence (6) of the 2 rollers. The 2 rollers are pulled together (7) under pressure.
