A torsional damper comprising a disc (4), two guide rings (2, 3), an output member (7) such as a hub, and low-stiffness resilient portions (8). The output member has a stepped flange (9) with a lower first portion (73) and a second portion (74) axially offset relative to the first portion. The second portion comprises teeth, whereas a bearing (91) rotationally locked to the disc (4) forms a housing for said resilient portions (8). Said damper is useful in motor vehicles.
