<p>An apparatus for generating microwave radiation comprises: generator means for generating electromagnetic energy with a frequency content in the microwave range; antenna means which are adapted to receive this energy and to transmit microwave radiation; and transfer means for transferring said energy from the generator means to the antenna means. In order to utilize the available energy as effectively as possible and to reduce to a minimum any possible danger to other organisms in the surrouding area, an apparatus is recommended in which the antenna means comprise a directional antenna.</p> |
