In electrodynamic loudspeakers, the primary air gap (9), in which the voice coil (2) is positioned, may be filled with magnetic fluid in order to improve the cooling of the voice coil (2) and the acoustical properties of the loudspeaker. However, the known suspensions in such loudspeakers are subject to axial friction hysteresis which prevents small electrical signals from being correctly converted into movements of the diaphragm (7) of the loudspeaker. The improved properties of the loudspeaker are thus not fully utilized. According to the invention, the loudspeaker is provided with one or more secondary air gaps (16) in which magnetic fluid is placed, and the moving system (2, 6, 7) is provided with means (10) which displace the magnetic fluid when the moving system (2, 6, 7) is displaced in axial direction, in order to obtain resilience. The moving system is thus free from friction hysteresis, and at the same time the desired resilience and stability against capsizing of the moving system (2, 6, 7) are obtained.
