Opto-electronic proximity fuze with laser ranging device

The fuze has a laser light source providing a beam directed onto the target via a lens (3), simultaneously used as the reception lens for a detector, for the laser light reflected from the target, with the detector output signal evaluated to determine the soiling of the lens. The output of the detector is fed to an integrator with an integration time synchronised with the transmitted laser pulses from the laser source, its output used for regulating the output power of the laser source and/or the sensitivity of the laser ranging device.
