As many people are unable to reach high up shelving in shops or their own domestic shelving or cupboards the purpose of the invention is to provide a step for people to stand on to help them reach high up shelving or cupboards. The plinth will be able to be slotted underneath shelving or cupboards. The step will be driven out and pulled in by an electric motor which will change polarity to change direction of drive. There will be a timing circuit to retract the step if it has not be used for a specified time. There will also be a weight sensor to prevent the step from retracting whilst in use. |
