<p>PURPOSE: To provide a system for providing real time bidirectional multimedia service in relatively simple device by connecting plural autonomous intelligent devices through an active back plane. CONSTITUTION: The active back plane 310 of this bidirectional multimedia system 110 secures interconnectivity with a LAN 345, an ATM 350 and an ISDN 355 through a network interface 340. Also, basic constituting elements such as a CPU 360, a memory 365, a video tape recorder 370, a disk 375, an intelligent memory 380 and a DSP array 385, etc., are plug inputted through an interface or a disk I/O device 390 to the active back plane 310. Thus, by combining the interface and the respective constituting elements, the system provides the bidirectional multimedia service in real time through a telephone, a computer or radio communication.</p> |
