The sensor is attached to an engine casing which includes a connecting socket (10) which has a cylindrical, axial borehole (12) which is terminated at the bottom by a metal plate (14). The metal plate is thin and has good conductivity. A ring joint (16) ensures watertightness. A detachable plug (22) clips into the connecting socket using flexible hooked feet (28,30) which engage with socket rims (32,34). The detachable plug has electrical contacts (26) which are in connection with the terminals of a thermistor (40) through insulated springs (42,46). These springs also ensure good thermal contact between the metal plate and the thermistor. |
