PURPOSE: To impart various kinds of bar codes while using a metal mold in common by forming a bar code for discriminating the kind of connector by printing. CONSTITUTION: Among black bars B1, B2 and white bars W1, W2 for constituting a bar code 30(A), the part of the bars W1, W2 is printed so as to be positioned in a position corresponding to the just before position (a prescribed position where the top end of a male housing reaches) of a contact wall 12b, and a slit 40 is formed within the range of the bar W1 in this position. A female housing 112 and the male housing paired thereto are formed of white resin moldings, and the bar code 30(A) is formed by printing in which only the black bars B1, B2 of the bar code 30(A) are colored without coloring the part of the white bars W1, W2. The display part on the male housing side corresponding to the slit 40 in the perfect fitting state still has a ground color, which is the same series of color as the white bars W1, W2, and is not colored.
