PURPOSE: To make it possible to continue a visual confirmmation ability of a road marking line in a rainy weather at night for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A road marking material, which contains large grain-sized glass beads ranging from 2 to 5mmΦ, and what is more, contains a setting preventive agent which is formulated by the quantity in which the large grain-sized glass beads will not settle in the coated film, is used for road marking. This road marking material is applied over a road surface 16 with a film thickness larger than the size of the large grain-sized beads 18. Then, the surface is coated with spreading glass beads 17 based on a slit construction method. Since a large amount of settling preventive agents are mixed therein, projected parts 19 by the large grain- sized beads 18, are produced on the surface of a road marking line to a satisfactory height. Therefore, the projected parts 19 are exposed on a water film 20 when it rains at night, thereby providing a favorable visual confirmation ability. Furthermore, since a road marking material is interposed between the large grain-sized glass beads 18 and the road surface 16 (The large grain-sized glass beads 18 will not settle until they come into contact with the road surface 16.), this interposed road marking material serves as a buffer, which prevents the load of a car from being concentrated into the large grain-sized beads 18 so that it may be difficult to break away. This construction makes it possible to maintain a visual confirmation ability for a long time. |
