The tool, designed for trimming and cleaning the edges of a windscreen prior to fitting, consists of a handle (2) with a thin interchangeable blade (1) attached to a holder (3), so that the cutting edge (1a) of the blade is at right angles to the axis of the handle. A cover (4) can be slid over the blade holder in line with the axis of the handle, so that it occupies one of three positions - one in which the blade is fully exposed for fitting and replacement, one in which the blade is completely covered, and the third in which only the blade edge is exposed for operation. The blade cover has a control element (6,7) with toothed surfaces to hold the cover in each of the three positions.
