The invention concerns a device for the transmission of data streams in data-communication networks, the device being fitted in particular with a network-integration unit (28) which integrates at least two different physical networks (24, 25) and makes these networks (24, 25) appear, at the network level, to be one physical network. With the device proposed, the transition between different data networks (24, 25) is thus completely transparent for users in a stationary network as well as for other, mobile, subscribers.
