Dumping vessel which is pivotably divided in the centre and has two main hole parts on the port and starboard sides, which are connected to one another by main pivots through a rotary movement of the two main hole parts with respect to one another about a common axis which coincides with the central longitudinal axis of the vessel, and two main hole parts which have an indentation which extends from the main hole part on one side to the main hole part on the other side, in order to accommodate a stern part, the stern part having a structure which extends to a sufficient vertical depth below the deck level of the main hole parts and, on one side, is rotatably connected to the stern part of the main hole part on the same side as the hinges, and on the opposite side of the stern part of the main hole part on the other side with a sliding hinge or sliding hinges which allow a transverse, horizontal sliding movement. <IMAGE>
