PURPOSE: To discriminate the result of focus detection and exposure information of every area according to the change of transmissivity of every area by making the transmissivity in a specified area on a display means different from that in other areas based on the result of focus detection or the exposure information. CONSTITUTION: Two glass plates with an electrode are constituted by forming a pattern on a glass plate by a transference electrode such as ITO, and they are put together so that the electrodes may be opposed by leaving a space, for example, by several μm to more than ten μm so as to obtain an empty cell, then liquid crystal material is injected in the cell, whereby a display device is formed. Focus detection areas FF-1 to FF-9 and divided areas ILC-1 to ILC-9 fit to a focus detection device and a photometry device are set and the areas FF-1 to FF-9 are positioned in the centers of the areas ILC-1 to ILC-9 and express a subject position in nine divided areas. For example, in the case focusing or appropriate exposure is obtained in the areas 1, 3 and 5, the focus detection areas FF-1, FF-3 and FF-5 in the divided areas ILC-1, ILC-3 and ILC-5 in a display state are made in a non-display state, thereby easily recognizing their positions. |
