PURPOSE: To prevent frost on a heat-exchanger at the side of an indoor unit, and to efficiently operate an air conditioner, in a controlling method for the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: In a controlling method for an air conditioner with a function of preventing frost on a heat-exchanger at the side of an indoor unit, a temperature in the heat-exchanger is detected by a temperature-detecting part 1, the detected temperature is stored in a storage part 2, and a difference between the detected temperature and a predetermined value in a predetermined value part 3 is operated by a first operation part 4. On the other hand, on the basis of a temperature in the heat-exchanger being detected at present and the temperature stored in the storage part 2, a temporal change rate of temperature in the heat-exchanger is operated by a second operation part 5. The difference and the temporal change rate operated are inputted in a fuzzy operation part 6, and a correction for correcting a temperature value at which the frost- preventing function is canceled is operated by fuzzy logic, being based on predetermined control rules and membership functions. |
