PURPOSE: To obtain a mat capable of sufficiently exhibiting merit of a usual substrate for nutriculture and a specific substrate for nutriculture obtained by processing flesh of palm. CONSTITUTION: This mat for nutriculture is obtained by packing a substrate for nutriculture containing a cut block obtained by vertically pressing sarco carp of palm in an arranging direction of the fiber and cutting the sarco carp, a fiber and powder derived from sarco carp of palm and a carbonized product of a plant containing <=2wt.% of tannin and <=2wt.% (expressed in terms of Fe2 O3 ) of iron in a sample obtained by allowing its fiber and powder to stand at 20 deg.C temperature under 50% humidity for 3 days into a bag made of a nonwoven fabric using a polyolefin-based fiber. |
