The compounds are used in the therapy of fits and/or neurological disorders such as epilepsy and/or as neuroptotection compositions for the prevention of states such as strokes. They have the formula where n has the value of 0,1 or 2, R1, R2, R6 & R7, separately from each other, are H or alkyl groups, optionally substituted by one or more halogens, R3 and R4, separately from each other are H or alkyl groups or together form a group with the the formula=NR12 where R12 is H, hydroxygroup, alkyl group, phenyl, or alkoxy group; every alkyl group, phenyl or alkoxy group can be optionally subtituted by one or more halogens; R5 is H, alkyl group, group having the formula -COR13 where R13 is H, alkyl group or phenyl, R3 & R4 being H or alyl group, optionally substituted by one or more halogens, or R5 is a group with the formula -S(0) R14 where p is 1 or 2 and R14 is alkyl group or phenyl, R3 & R4 are H or alkyl group, optionally substituted by one or more halogens; each alkyl group or phenyl can be optionally substituted by one or more halogens; R8 to R11, separately from each other, are H, halogen, cyano-, nitro, alkyl, alkoxy-, alkanoyl, carboxy-, alkanoyloxy-, carbamoyl group, optionally substituted by alkyl group, or sulphamoyl group, optionally substituted by alkyl group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms; every alkyl, alkoxy-, alkanoyl or alkanoyloxy group can be optionally substituted by one or more halogens.
