PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To air-cool a high-temperature battery advantageous for structural simplicity and relatively great safety in a vehicle provided therewith and to provide a structure advantageous as a whole by causing a sufficient drop of the battery operating temperature which may be high depending on situations when heat of air from the battery is utilized. SOLUTION: This device for heating the interior space of an electric vehicle has an air-cooled high-temperature battery 1 using its waste heat in heating. Heat is supplied into the vehicle interior space via a liquid or water circuit 7 having a heat exchanger 6 to which waste air from the high-temperature battery 1 and fresh air are controllably applied. The liquid or water circuit 7 is connected to heat-generating components 14 of an electric drive system and therefore assumes its cooling.
