PURPOSE: To produce a low vinyl-terminated polymer of propylene with other olefins at good selectivity. CONSTITUTION: Propylene is polymerized with other olefins to form a low polymer in the presence of a catalyst comprising pentaalkylcyclopentadienyl compounds of zirconium and/or hafnium, a condensate of an organoaluminum compound with water, and optionally an electron-donating compound and further optionally hydrogen.
