Continuous dosing system for administering medication

A cannula (22) connected to an external syringe device extends through a dividing wall (26) into a supply chamber (24) inside the dosage regulating device (16). An internal channel (28) leads from the supply chamber to the wall of a cylinder (45). A piston (32) can move up and down within the cylinder and acts against a spring (44) located at the top of the piston. In the side of the piston there is a control bore (36) which connects with a chamber (34) formed in the inside of the piston. This chamber connects at the lower end of the piston with a flexible compensator connection (40) and a throttle section (38). In the normal rest position, the control bore connects the supply chamber to the chamber in the piston, allowing the fluid to flow through the system from the cannula to the throttle section.
